Westlake Warriors (Westlake Village, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Kofa Kings (Yuma, AZ), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Notre Dame (SO) for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. Westlake will face a Knights squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Canyon (Anaheim, CA). The Knights record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Kofa falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Kings travel to Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA) to face the Heralds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. The Heralds enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Whittier Christian won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Mohave (Bullhead City, AZ)
