Midland Rebels (Midland, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA), 24-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crowley for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Midland will battle a Gent squad coming off a 19-3 non-league win over Carencro (Lafayette, LA). The Gent record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, St. Martinville falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Vermilion Catholic (Abbeville, LA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-1.
