Mineral Wells Rams (Mineral Wells, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Decatur for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Mineral Wells will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Howe (Howe, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Saginaw falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Rough riders host Northwest (Justin, TX) to battle the Texans in a 5A Region I District 5 match on Tuesday, March 5. The Texans go into the match with a record of 3-10. Northwest lost 14-2 in their recent non-league match against Midway (Waco, TX)
