Northbrook Raiders (Houston, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Royal Falcons (Brookshire, TX), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Bend Kempner for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. Northbrook will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Stafford (Stafford, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Royal falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Falcons host Needville (Needville, TX) to battle the Bluejays in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Bluejays enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. Needville lost 1-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Foster (Richmond, TX)
