Pacifica Mariners (Garden Grove, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host O'Connor Eagles (Phoenix, AZ), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Mariners now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Norco for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. Pacifica will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Murrieta Mesa (Murrieta, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, O'Connor falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA) to battle the Griffins in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. The Griffins enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Los Alamitos won 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM)
