In Saturday's non-league contest, the St. Paul Cardinals (Shiner, TX) softball team overwhelmed the host Rice Consolidated Raiders (Altair, TX), by a margin of 10-2.

With the triumph, St. Paul moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Cardinals host Sacred Heart (Hallettsville, TX) to play the Indians in a TAPPS Division IV District 5 contest on Thursday, April 4. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 7-4.

In their next game, the Raiders play the Yoakum Bulldogs (Yoakum, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 contest, on Tuesday, March 5. Rice Consolidated will attempt to move on its 0-12 season record.
