In Monday's non-league match, the host Dixie Hornets softball team scored a tight 9-7 win over the Daniel Lions.

The Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Easley (Easley, SC). The Green Wave come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Easley by Powdersville (Greenville, SC), 17-14, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Lions play the Powdersville Patriots (Greenville, SC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 3. Daniel will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Patriots enter the game with a 1-1 record after their 17-14 non-league win over Easley (Easley, SC).
