Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) and the host Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL), saw St. Thomas More's baseball squad knock off Hoopeston by a count of 8-3.

Coming up next, the Sabers play the Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 23. St. Thomas More will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Chargers enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 14-11 non-league win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL).
