In Monday's non-league game, the host McLoughlin Pioneers baseball team scored a tight 5-1 victory over the Irrigon Knights.
The Pioneers (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Seaside (Seaside, OR). The Seagulls go into the non-league game with a 1-1 record.
The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Pilot Rock/Nixyaawii Community (Pilot Rock, OR). The Rockets go into the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Pilot Rock/Nixyaawii Community was overwhelmed by Heppner/Ione (Heppner, OR), 13-3, in a league game.
