East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Norman Charter for a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 21. East Rowan will face a Knights squad coming off a 17-3 league loss to Carson (China Grove, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, A.L. Brown falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Wonders host South Iredell (Statesville, NC) to face the Vikings in a Greater Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. South Iredell lost 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)
