The Broughton Capitals baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Fuquay - Varina Bengals to 2 in the Capitals non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Capitals (7-3) will now prepare for their match against Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC). The Jaguars go into the Cap Six 4A match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Athens Drive edged East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC), 12-2, in a non-league match.
The Bengals (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Rams go into the Greater Neuse River 4A match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, Cleveland edged Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 8-1, in a league match.
