The Alexandria Cardinals basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Minneapolis South Tigers to 70 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 25-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mankato East for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 21. Alexandria will meet a Cougars team coming off a 80-41 non-league win over Chisago Lakes Area (Lindstrom, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 27-2.
