Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Exeter Monarchs (Exeter, CA) and the visiting Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA), witnessed Exeter's softball squad tip Strathmore by a count of 31-24.

The Monarchs now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hanford West for a non-league match on Monday, March 25. Exeter will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 14-14 non-league Lemoore (Lemoore, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Strathmore moves to 0-1 on the season.
