In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting A.J. Ellender Patriots softball team scored a close 9-3 win over the Landry Buccaneers.
Coming up next, the Patriots battle the South Terrebonne Gators (Bourg, LA) in a 4A District 7 outing, on Thursday, March 21. A.J. Ellender will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Gators enter the outing with a 4-12 record after their 6-5 league win over Assumption (Napoleonville, LA).
The Buccaneers (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Bulldogs enter the 4A District 10 outing with a 1-6 record. In their last outing, New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy was routed by Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA), 15-0, in a league outing.
