The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Murray Spartans (Murray, UT) and the visiting Alta Hawks (Sandy, UT), saw Murray's softball squad achieve victory over Alta by a count of 15-3.

The Spartans now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hillcrest for a 4A Region 10 match on Friday, March 22. Murray will face a Huskies squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Tooele (Tooele, UT). The Huskies record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Alta falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Olympus (Salt Lake City, UT) to face the Titans in a 5A Region 6 match on Thursday, March 21. The Titans enter the match with a record of 2-6. Olympus won 4-2 in their recent league match against Brighton (Salt Lake City, UT)
