The Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers to 3 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Catholic of Pointe Coupee moves its record to 13-8 on the year. The Hornets travel to Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA) to clash with the Trojans in a 1A District 6 game on Thursday, March 21. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 10-5.

In their next game, the Redstickers clash with the East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 23. St. Joseph's Academy will attempt to move on its 16-3 season record. The Spartans come into the game with a 11-8 record after their 14-2 league loss to Dutchtown (Geismar, LA).
