The Clinton Maroons softball team scored 24 runs and limited the host MacArthur Generals to 3 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Clinton moves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Maroons host Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL) to play the Trojans in a non-league game on Friday, March 22. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 2-3. Maroa-Forsyth lost 8-1 in their recent non-league game against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL)

In their next game, the Generals play the Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight game, on Tuesday, March 26. MacArthur will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Lions come into the game with a 1-1 record after their 20-1 non-league loss to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL).
