Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Collinsville Kahoks (Collinsville, IL), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Midgets now sport a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pinckneyville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 23. Freeburg will face a Panthers squad coming off a 11-7 non-league win over Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Collinsville falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Kahoks travel to Jersey (Jerseyville, IL) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
