Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Quakers now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shady Side Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2.

With the loss, Northgate falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Flames host Union Area (New Castle, PA) to battle the Scotties in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Scotties enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Union Area won 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA)
