Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC), 14-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host North East Carolina Prep for a Four Rivers 1A challenge on Friday, March 22. Perquimans will face a squad coming off a 20-1 league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Pasquotank County falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Holmes (Edenton, NC) to face the Aces in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Aces enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Holmes won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC)
