In Thursday's non-league game, the host Comeaux Spartans baseball team scored a close 1-0 win over the Northside Vikings.
The Spartans (6-10) will now prepare for their game against St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA). The Cougars go into the 4A District 4 game with a 14-5 record. In their last game, St. Thomas More nudged Westgate (New Iberia, LA), 16-0, in a league game.
Next, the Vikings play the Rayne Wolves (Rayne, LA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 22. Northside will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Wolves go into the game with a 15-6 record after their 11-0 league loss to Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA).
