Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they saw their lacrosse team top the host El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA), 19-2 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Portola advances its record to 3-6 on the season. The Bulldogs host St. Margaret's (San Juan Capistrano, CA) to play the Tartans in a Pacific Coast game on Monday, March 24. The Tartans come into the game with a record of 6-1. St. Margaret's won 18-11 in their recent league game against Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA)

The Vanguards now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Dorado for a Crestview game on Tuesday, March 25. El Modena will play a Golden Hawks team coming off a 20-7 league win over Yorba Linda (Yorba Linda, CA). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 13-5.
