The Elgin Maroons soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Crystal Lake South Gators to 1 in the Maroons non-league victory on Thursday.
The Maroons now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Round Lake for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 22. Elgin will play a Panthers squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Larkin (Elgin, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Crystal Lake South moves to 0-2 on the year. The Gators host Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL) to play the Blue Thunder in a non-league bout on Tuesday, April 1. The Blue Thunder go into the bout with a record of 1-0.
