The Marian Catholic baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Tamaqua Blue Raiders to 8 in the non-league win on Thursday.
The now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nativity BVM for a non-league test on Saturday, March 29.
With the defeat, Tamaqua drops to 0-1 on the year. The Blue raiders travel to Schuylkill Valley (Leesport, PA) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, March 22. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 0-2. Schuylkill Valley lost 10-3 in their recent non-league test against Upper Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA)
