Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 12-4 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Providence upgrades its record to 11-1 on the year. The Panthers travel to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to play the Eagles in a Southwestern 4A game on Tuesday, March 25. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 5-6. East Mecklenburg lost 10-0 in their recent league game against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC)
The Wonders now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Lake Norman for a Greater Metro 4A game on Friday, March 21. A.L. Brown will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-2.
