The Booneville Bearcats triumphed over the visiting Westside Rebels softball squad by a count of 18-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bearcats play the Cedarville Pirates (Cedarville, AR) in a 3A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, March 21. Booneville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Pirates enter the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 16-1 league loss to Mansfield (Mansfield, AR).
The Rebels (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Clarksville (Clarksville, AR). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Clarksville overcame Ozark (Ozark, AR), 11-2, in a league challenge.
