Kentucky High School Softball - Russell succumbs to Boyd County

March 20, 2025: Ashland, KY 41102

In Thursday's non-league test, the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), by a tally of 12-1.

Next, the Lions clash with the Greenup County Musketeers (Greenup, KY) in a non-league test, on Friday, March 21. Boyd County will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Musketeers go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 14-0 non-league win over Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY).

The Red Devils (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Pike County Central was routed by Floyd Central (Eastern, KY), 9-7, in a non-league test.
