The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Brookhaven Panthers (Brookhaven, MS) and the visiting Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS), observed Brookhaven's softball team notch a victory over Columbia by a final score of 13-5.

The Panthers (9-5) will now prepare for their bout against Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS). The Gators go into the non-league bout with a 0-9 record. In their last bout, Vicksburg was routed by Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS), 13-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the East Marion Eagles (Columbia, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 21. Columbia will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 10-4 league loss to Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS).
