The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Haughton Buccaneers (Haughton, LA) and the visiting Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA), observed Haughton's softball team prevail over Byrd by a tally of 20-4.

The Buccaneers (9-9) will now prepare for their bout against Iowa (Iowa, LA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league bout with a 14-5 record. In their last bout, Iowa knocked off LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA), 21-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA) in a 5A District 1 bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Byrd will attempt to advance on its 4-9 season record.
