The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA) and the host L.W. Higgins Hurricanes (Marrero, LA), observed Riverdale's softball team notch a victory over L.W. Higgins by a final score of 16-1.

The Rebels (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Benjamin Franklin (New Orleans, LA). The Falcons go into the non-league bout with a 1-5 record.

In their next game, the Hurricanes battle the West St. John Rams (Edgard, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 24. L.W. Higgins will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 18-1 league loss to St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA).
