In Friday's non-league bout, the Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) baseball squad the host Orange Panthers (Hillsborough, NC), by a score of 8-4.

Next up, the Whirlies encounter the Eastern Alamance Eagles (Mebane, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 23. Grimsley will attempt to advance on its 8-1 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Southern Alamance (Graham, NC).

The Panthers (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Carrboro (Carrboro, NC). The Jaguars enter the non-league bout with a 2-7 record. In their last bout, Carrboro was overwhelmed by South Granville (Creedmoor, NC), 5-1, in a league challenge.
