In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Lamar Warriors softball squad scored a close 7-2 triumph over the Dover Pirates.

With the triumph, Lamar improves its record to 10-1 on the year. The Warriors host Westside (Coal Hill, AR) to play the Rebels in a non-league game on Monday, March 30. The Rebels enter the game with a record of 4-8. Westside won 4-0 in their recent non-league game against Paris (Paris, AR)

The Pirates now hold a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Glen Rose for a 3A Region 5 game on Tuesday, March 31.
