In Monday's non-league battle, the host Alcovy Tigers soccer squad scored a close 9-3 win over the Salem Seminoles.
The Tigers (1-9) will now prepare for their battle against Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Warriors go into the non-league battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Walnut Grove was overwhelmed by Clarke Central (Athens, GA), 5-0, in a league battle.
The Seminoles (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA). The Patriots go into the AAA Region 5 battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Sandy Creek nipped Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA), 3-2, in a league battle.
