The Byrd Terriers soccer team scored 3 points and limited the host Bassett Bengals to 2 in the Terriers non-league victory on Monday.
Next, the Terriers face the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) in a Blue Ridge contest, on Friday, March 25. Byrd will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA).
The Bengals now have a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Staunton River for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 22. Bassett will face a Golden Eagles team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-3.
