In Monday's non-league contest, the Wesclin Warriors (Trenton, IL) softball team held off the host Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL), by a margin of 9-8.
With the triumph, Wesclin moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Warriors host Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL) to meet the Indians in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 22. The Indians go into the match with a record of 3-1. Mascoutah won 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Lebanon (Lebanon, IL)
With the loss, Centralia moves to 1-2 on the season. The Orphans travel to Vandalia (Vandalia, IL) to meet the Vandals in a non-league match on Friday, March 25. The Vandals go into the match with a record of 1-0.
