Oxford Prep Griffins (Oxford, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Granville Central Panthers (Stem, NC), 19-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Griffins now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Voyager for a Triangle North 1A challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Oxford Prep will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Vance Charter (Henderson, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Granville Central falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Southern Durham (Durham, NC) to battle the Spartans in a Northern Lakes Athletic 2A/3A challenge on Friday, March 25. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Southern Durham 13-13 in their recent league challenge against Carrboro (Carrboro, NC)
