South Spartans (Torrance, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lake Oswego Lakers (Lake Oswego, OR), 20-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to West for a Pioneer challenge on Wednesday, March 23. South will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Lawndale (Lawndale, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 13-3.

With the loss, Lake Oswego falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Norco (Norco, CA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Norco won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against La Serna (Whittier, CA)
