Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR) and the host Phoenix Pirates (Phoenix, OR), saw Ashland's baseball squad beat Phoenix by a margin of 11-3.

Coming up next, the Grizzlies play the South Medford Panthers (Medford, OR) in a 6A Southwest battle, on Thursday, March 23. Ashland will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 6-4 league loss to Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR).
