The Saltillo Lions nudged the visiting Fruitvale Bobcats baseball team by a tally of 9-8 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Lions now hold a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Como-Pickton for a 2A Region III District 18 bout on Monday, March 27. Saltillo will face a Eagles team coming off a 18-2 league win over Miller Grove (Cumby, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 8-8.

Next, the Bobcats face the North Hopkins Panthers (Sulphur Springs, TX) in a 2A Region III District 18 bout, on Tuesday, April 4. Fruitvale will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record.
