In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Pineville Rebels baseball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the St. Mary's Academy Cougars.

The Rebels (9-2) will now prepare for their game against Ruston (Ruston, LA). The Bearcats go into the 5A District 2 game with a 9-5 record. In their last game, Ruston tipped Alexandria (Alexandria, LA), 6-5, in a league game.

The Cougars (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Minden (Minden, LA). The Crimson Tide go into the non-league game with a 6-7 record.
