Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), 25-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Fighting Scots now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richmond for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 28.

With the loss, Pinecrest falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to battle the Bucks in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. The Bucks enter the challenge with a record of 0-2.
