The Mendota Trojans softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Earlville Red Raiders to 5 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Mendota moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Trojans travel to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league game on Friday, March 24. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 1-1. Sherrard lost 8-7 in their recent non-league game against Sterling (Sterling, IL)

In their next game, the Red Raiders clash with the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 23. Earlville will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 1-2 record after their 18-3 non-league win over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL).
