Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hart County Raiders (Munfordville, KY), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Trinity for a District 12 challenge on Friday, March 24. Edmonson County will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Raiders record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Hart County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Raiders host Larue County (Hodgenville, KY) to battle the Hawks in a District 18 challenge on Thursday, March 23. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 6-1. Larue County won 18-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY)
