The Hoopeston Cornjerkers softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers to 3 in the Cornjerkers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Hoopeston improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Cornjerkers travel to Danville (Danville, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league game on Thursday, March 23. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 0-1. Danville lost 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Westville (Westville, IL)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a Illini Prairie game, on Wednesday, March 22. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record.
