Ridgefield Spudders (Ridgefield, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rochester Warriors (Rochester, WA), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spudders now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Woodland for a 2A Greater St. Helens challenge on Monday, April 10.

With the loss, Rochester falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Aberdeen (Aberdeen, WA) to battle the Bobcats in a 2A Evergreen challenge on Friday, March 24. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
