West Virginia High School Baseball - Lewis County holds off Preston

March 21, 2024: Weston, WV 26452

In Thursday's league challenge, the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) baseball squad the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), by a final score of 6-2.

With the win, Lewis County upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Minutemen travel to Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV) to battle the Polar Bears in a Big Ten challenge on Friday, March 22. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Fairmont Senior won 10-1 in their recent league challenge against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV)

With the defeat, Preston falls to 0-2 on the season. The Knights host Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV) to clash with the Polar Bears in a Big Ten game on Monday, April 1. The Polar Bears go into the game with a record of 2-1.
