In Thursday's league battle, the host Meadowbrook Monarchs soccer squad scored a close 6-1 win over the Colonial Heights Colonials.
The Monarchs (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Petersburg (Petersburg, VA). The Crimson Wave go into the Central battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Petersburg was overwhelmed by Thomas Dale (Chester, VA), 4-2, in a league battle.
The Colonials (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA). The Warriors enter the Central bout with a 1-0 record.
