Maryland High School Softball - Bishop Ireton bounces Connelly School of the Holy Child

Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Connelly School of the Holy Child (Potomac, MD), 17-0 in a league challenge.
The Cardinals now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Our Lady of Good Counsel for a Washington Catholic challenge on Friday, March 22. Bishop Ireton will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 10-6 league loss to St. John's (Washington, DC). The Falcons record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Connelly School of the Holy Child falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The travel to Episcopal (Alexandria, VA) to battle the Maroon in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Maroon enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
