Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop McNamara for a Washington Catholic challenge on Monday, March 25. Bishop O'Connell will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 15-4 league loss to Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Northern falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD) to face the Cougars in a Southern Maryland challenge on Friday, March 22. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
