Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Shiprock for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Piedra Vista will battle a Chieftains squad coming off a 18-4 non-league win over Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Chieftains record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Bloomfield falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to battle the Elks/Elkettes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Elks/Elkettes enter the challenge with a record of 2-9. Pojoaque Valley lost 17-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Robertson (Las Vegas, NM)
